When everything closed down in Toronto due to COVID-19, piano lessons went online, and so did year-end concerts. One of my students, who was taking lessons with me through the University of Toronto’s Piano Pedagogy Program opted for a more individual approach to sharing music. She recorded the tracks and I posted it on my studio’s SoundCloud feed. It’s particularly enjoyable for me to hear her progress, as I’ve been working with her since she was 7 years old and she’s now in her last year of high school!

Just recently finished recording Noël Coward’s “Zigeuner” for a short film written and directed by Sara Fenton. It’s called Cupcakes and you should really check it out (see below). The emotion captured in simple gestures really struck me each time I watched it.
